Posted - Nov 03 2009 : 12:55:55 I have used 43.0gr to 47.0gr. of H414 using Speer 145gr B.T. with very good groupings at 100yds. I settled with 43.0gr. of H414 because I was shooting less than 100 yds. |

Posted - Oct 17 2009 : 18:03:13 I have been using IMR 4350 for my 7-08 with 160gr. and 175gr. I'm gonna try RL17 for both weights. So far, it has been an awesome powder. |

Posted - Oct 17 2009 : 17:42:51 Hi, I've shot 7-08 for years with factory hornady light mags. I've taken bear, deer, and elk with it. The data that interests me now is at the alliant powder site, they list a load for 160gr bullets and rl-19 that goes 2710fps, I plan to try that with 160gr accubonds. There's nothing wrong with 140's I've got 7/9 animals with 1 shot kills including the bear and the elk(200yds and 125yds respectively).

Posted - Oct 16 2009 : 08:26:48 I use two bullets in my son's 7mm-08, 140gr Partition and 160gr Partition.
I have tried a lot of powders with these two bullets. With the 140's I found non better than BigGame and R-15. For the 160's I use Hunter, outstanding accuracy and velocity is way up there, around 2720fps. That's darn near 280 velocities in a 308 sized case. |

Posted - Oct 16 2009 : 03:26:16 the 7-08 is an awsome little round, I load 38.5 gr of reloader15 behind a 140 gr nosler balistic tip for my kids, this is a fairly light load with little recoil, I shoot 42 gr of R 15 with 140 gr triple shock, coyotes really hate this combination out to 300 yrds |

Posted - Oct 09 2009 : 14:51:11 You can find a few to start here http://www.reloadersnest.com/frontpage.asp?CaliberID=43. Just remember to start 10% low with the powder and work up. |
